It's been confusing for many, including myself to think that America would not want to be a DEMOCRACY. Instead many Constitutionalists tell us that America is a REPUBLIC, not a democracy.
But isn't DEMOCRACY what we're supposed to be spreading around the world? Aren't we all pledged to defend democracy?
The problem with a pure democracy where majority rules in all cases regardless of laws. In a democracy, if the majority don't like the rules, they can agree to disregard them if there's enough of a majority. That's not the case in a Republic. In a Republic, certain principles such as individual liberty and property rights, are protected by our Constitution, regardless of the will of the majority. A mob lynching is an example of a democracy. If the majority agrees to rob an individual of his property, life or liberty, as long as the majority agrees, the evil deed is done. In a republic, the majority cannot decide to take away the rights, life or property of an individual, the individual is protected by the laws and the courts of the land.
In a Republic, certain rights are protected regardless of the will of the majority. This is the case in America. Our Constitution stands Supreme to the will or whim of the majority. Individual rights are protected regardless of the will of the majority. A republic guarantees individual liberty more so than in a democracy because in a pure democracy the will of the majority reign supreme.
The following video explains this much better….

Spotsylvania Campaign for Liberty is committed to educating the community on the principles that established our nation.
One thing that defines the True American is his or her understanding of the concepts and principles that formed our nation. These principles have kept us free from tyranny and militant control for over 200 years.
There are those who believe and teach that our forefathers were 'insurgents' because they rose up against the British throne. The truth is that, our forefathers were evolved, insightful men that had clear vision of a free nation and how that free nation can be protected from tyrannical rule. They were committed to founding a nation free from religious control or military regime.
Below are some important quotes of wisdom from our forefathers which are very, very pertinent for these times.

America was, up to only a few decades ago, the most powerful, the most progressive, the most evolved nation on the planet. In a very short period of time, we currently rank low amongst most developed countries in terms of education, health, economy and global respect.
The only thing America seems to be on top at is military spending. We also have the greatest amounts of uninvestigated, unaccounted for governmental and military spending than any other country. We are also on top of all global nations in terms of national deficit. $12 trillion is the latest count, the largest national deficit in history.
Something's happening around here, and it's happened in a very short period of time. We're losing touch with our constitutional principles and due to recent laws being passed in our legislature, our 'inalienable' (means 'impossible to be taken away') rights and liberties are being taken away from us. Most of us don't even realize what's happening because we don't know what our civil liberties are.
American children and adult citizens are not being taught or reminded of the evolved wisdom in our Constitution, the Declaration of Independence, and the Bill of Rights. This ignorance will prove to be the undoing of democracy as we have enjoyed it. "It is in the region of ignorance that tyranny begins." Benjamin Franklin
Please read through the Bill of Rights so you know firsthand what our rights are and what rights and liberties are in jeopardy.
May God Continue to Bless America.
