The Human Brain and the Proper Role of Government
Free enterprise works best when individuals are free of federal government intervention. Those accustomed to believing that government intervention and planning is essential to a working republic, and fear a lack of governmental planning would lead to anarchy, let’s look at the similarities between the natural organization of the human body and the natural organization of the free enterprise system.
Each cell in the human body is a Universe to itself, each ‘cell’ working independently of the rest. Billions of other cells do the same thing – that is, each cell focuses on its own health and well being. There is communication amongst the cells for the body to function but even this communication takes place without need for the brain. Cells communicate their needs to the brain, alerting the brain when it needs to consume water, nutrients, sunlight or fresh air. The brain is directed by the cells to ensure the health of the entire cellular body and the brain’s responsibility is to protect the human body and find opportunities for it to feed and care for itself and its descendents.
In the case of physical threat or harm, the brain does come into play in the body’s natural organization and may affect cellular function. But in times of peaceful existence, the mind, housed by the brain has very little to do with the minute by minute function of the lungs, or the beating of the heart or the ability to digest. Healthy body function depends upon the brain’s non-interference of cellular function.
Under natural law, a non-intervention government is left free to secure the environment and protect the nation, supplying food (income), water (education) and finding ways to produce and create commodity and boost national revenue. Like the human brain, the federal government can only help the nation if it is in communication with the individuals that make it up. If the brain were to ignore the cries from its cells, its body becomes weak and diseased and will eventually die. When the government ignores the needs of the individual, the nation becomes diseased and the nation is too often overtaken by foreign invaders on the lookout for weakened prey.
Free enterprise works in a similar way as to the human body. The nation, like the human body, works most efficiently when the brain / the central government leaves the cells / individuals free to consume, regenerate, rejuvenate and reproduce by our own innate natural creative and Godly intelligence. Just like the brain, the federal government’s job is NOT to ‘think’, ‘plan’ and ‘organize’ individual citizens, this would not only be detrimental, slow and ineffective, but would give the brain / federal government powers never ordained by the Universal creative intelligence that naturally governs the cellular body and which also governs nations.
